How AILesson collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects account, learning, device, and billing data.

Last updated: August 10, 2026

1. Scope and data controller

AILesson is an interactive learning service operated by LABEX, LLC (“AILesson”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), located at 131 Continental Dr, Ste 305, Newark, Delaware 19713-4324, United States (D-U-N-S Number: 144999355). The Company is the controller of personal data covered by this policy.

This policy applies when you use the AILesson website, Progressive Web App, Courses, interactive Lessons, account features, subscriptions, or contact us. It does not cover third-party websites or services that publish their own privacy notices.

2. Information we collect and where it comes from

We collect information you provide, information generated when you use AILesson, and limited information received from the providers that support the Service:

  • Account and profile data: email address, display name, account and authentication identifiers, language, and timezone. If you choose a sign-in method offered through Clerk, we receive the account information that Clerk or the selected sign-in provider makes available to AILesson; we do not receive your third-party account password.
  • Learning and interaction data: Course and Lesson activity, the current Lesson and visible unit, completed Lessons, interactive answers and component state, progress checkpoints, completion dates, Streak activity, Lesson ratings, and optional feedback comments. This information lets progress resume across supported devices and helps us improve learning content.
  • Subscription and transaction data: selected plan, price, subscription status, renewal and access dates, and Stripe customer, checkout, and subscription identifiers. Stripe collects and processes payment-card and billing details; AILesson does not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Usage, device, and log data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, errors, security events, and diagnostic or infrastructure logs generated when the Service is used.
  • Communications: your contact details and the content of messages you send for support, payment questions, content reports, or privacy requests. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, access tokens, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

3. Cookies and browser storage

AILesson and its identity provider use essential cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, prevent abuse, and operate requested features. We may also store language and interface preferences in your browser. The PWA and Lesson player use local browser storage to keep recoverable progress and Lesson feedback when a save is interrupted or the device is temporarily offline.

AILesson uses Google Analytics on production pages to understand aggregate traffic, page visits, and interactions so we can improve content, accessibility, usability, and performance. Google Analytics may use analytics cookies and receive information such as a pseudonymous browser identifier, requested page, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and browser or device details. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies or clearing local storage may prevent sign-in, preferences, or offline progress and feedback recovery from working.

4. Why we use personal data

We use personal data only when we have an applicable legal basis, including performing our contract with you, pursuing legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, complying with law, or obtaining consent where required. We use it to:

  • create and secure accounts and provide Courses, Lessons, progress synchronization, Streaks, subscriptions, and support;
  • process purchases, maintain access and entitlement records, and send transactional, security, payment, or Service notices;
  • protect users and the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate errors, enforce our terms, and maintain reliability;
  • understand aggregate use and improve learning content, accessibility, usability, and performance; and
  • comply with legal obligations, respond to valid legal process, resolve disputes, and protect rights, safety, and property.

Marketing email is not enabled by default. If we offer optional marketing communications, you can unsubscribe without affecting essential account, security, or transaction messages.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

We disclose personal data only as reasonably necessary to provide AILesson or as otherwise permitted by law. Current provider categories include Clerk for identity and account security, Cloudflare for hosting, storage, content delivery, infrastructure security, and operational logs, Google Analytics for aggregate website usage measurement, Stripe for checkout and subscription management, DiceBear for generated default account avatars and character avatars in supported Lessons, and communication providers when we send transactional messages. These providers process data for the relevant service under their own terms and our applicable agreements.

We may also disclose information to affiliates under common control; professional advisers; a buyer or successor involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets; authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety; or another party with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. International data transfers

The Company is based in Delaware, United States, and AILesson’s providers may process personal data in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where applicable law requires it, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards intended to protect transferred personal data.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and learning data while needed to provide the Service and for a reasonable period afterward. Transaction, security, support, and legal records may be retained longer when needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the data’s purpose, sensitivity, legal requirements, and operational need.

You can update supported account information in Settings. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, contact us. After deletion, limited information may remain in protected backups until they cycle out, or be retained where we have a legal obligation or another lawful basis.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls and protections provided by our infrastructure and identity partners. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or data is at risk, contact us promptly.

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy of personal data; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Residents of applicable U.S. states may also request details about collection and disclosure and opt out of processing covered by local law. Because AILesson does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise for those activities.

Send a request to the email below. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. Rights are subject to legal exceptions, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

10. Children

AILesson is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. If local law requires a higher age for a person to consent to online services, a parent or legal guardian must provide the required permission. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to this section.

11. Links to other services

AILesson may link to websites or services we do not operate. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and we are not responsible for their content or data practices. Review those notices before providing personal data.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as AILesson, our providers, or applicable law changes. We will post the current version here and update the date above. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.

Questions, concerns, and privacy requests can be sent to info@labex.io. Please include enough detail for us to understand and respond to your request.
