Used-camera transaction checklist
Remote gate: decline the direct-transfer deposit. Recheck the platform's current protected-payment, inspection, dispute and release rules from its official terms. Ask seller through platform chat for unedited current photos, exact included-item list, receipt redacted except necessary ownership/product fields, written repair/drop/moisture claims, and consent to 45-minute buyer-paid shop inspection. Share no unnecessary identity or home address. Refusal or off-platform pressure is walk-away.
Before meeting: confirm shop appointment, scope, CNY ≤200 price, report format and limitations. Verify compatible card and ports in the official Model Z6 manual. Ask manufacturer/authorized service through a secure serial lookup what warranty status, transferability and service information can actually be confirmed; “maybe six months” remains unknown. Prepare friend, daytime shop, charged test gear, padded bag, transport CNY 100, and a no-cash protected-payment route.
At handover, before payment: compare body and lens serials physically, on supported camera display where available, on receipt and in secure manufacturer inquiry; never publish them. Review original purchase evidence and seller authority without declaring legal ownership from a receipt alone. Photograph item condition and included battery, charger, box and lens with consent. Stop for any mismatch or unavailable ownership evidence.
External inspection: body seams, mounts, controls, screen/viewfinder, battery/card doors, corrosion/moisture signs and drop/repair clues. Lens under light for fungus, material haze, separation, scratches, aperture and mount condition. Do not disassemble. Shop test and record shutter count method; sensor images at several apertures; autofocus near/far; stabilization; controls; burst; video/audio; playback; every supported card slot; USB/other agreed ports; charging; error log and repeat after power cycle. Keep raw test files/report. Fungus, material sensor damage, intermittent error or refusal triggers walk-away. Cosmetic wear is recorded, not automatically a failure.
Data/account gate: seller uses supported reset, removes paired accounts/devices and memory card, and demonstrates no remaining seller-controlled lock. Do not bypass. Confirm included items and any missing battery/card replacement against budget. Cost ceiling: price 5,400 + shop 200 + transport 100 = 5,700, leaving only 300; the stated possible 500 replacement would exceed 6,000 by 200. Therefore require included battery/card status to avoid replacement, negotiate total down, or walk away—do not call the 500 contingency available.
Payment/handover: only after all gates, use the verified protected channel under written terms. Signed receipt records date, protected payment, amount, body/lens identifiers, accessories, observed condition, seller statements and no promised return unless explicitly agreed. Buyer receives item, receipt, shop report and reset confirmation simultaneously. After purchase, repeat core tests before platform acceptance deadline, back up test files, register only through official supported process, store receipt securely, and open a platform dispute within verified terms if a hidden mismatch appears.
